From your card to their work, in the open
Sending money to charities in Iran from Australia is hard. Banks are cautious, sanctions are complex, and it is difficult to know whether a gift arrived. This is how we handle each part.

You give in Australia
Choose a charity and an amount, then pay by card in Australian dollars. Your donation appears in the public ledger under a reference only you know.

We pool it by charity
During the week, donations are held in a dedicated account and grouped by charity. Nothing is mixed with our operating money.

We send it every Monday
Each charity receives one transfer a week through a licensed remittance provider. The amount, fee and exchange rate are published that day.

The charity confirms and reports
The charity confirms the amount it received in rials, and later reports on what it paid for. Both are added to its page.
Costs
What it costs, exactly
Two costs come out of a donation, and both are shown for every payment in the ledger.
- Card processing
- Charged by our payment provider when you pay. About 1.75% plus 30 cents.
- International transfer
- Charged by the remittance provider for each weekly transfer, and shared across all the donations it carries.
Questions
Before you give
How can I check that my donation arrived?
Your receipt has a reference, such as DN-10234. Search for it in the ledger to see the donation, the transfer that carried it, and the date the charity confirmed receipt.
Is this legal?
We work only with charities that are registered in Iran and screened against Australian sanctions lists, and we move money only through licensed providers that report to AUSTRAC. Donations open once every registration is in place.
How long does it take?
Donations go out on the Monday after you give. Charities usually confirm within two to four days.
Can I give without my name being public?
Yes. The ledger never shows names. Australian law requires us to know who you are, but that stays private, and charities only see totals.
How do you choose charities?
We check registration documents, recent financial statements and examples of work, and speak with the people who run them. A charity that stops reporting is removed.
Can I stop a monthly donation?
Yes, at any time, from the link in any receipt. There are no minimum terms.
